WHO WE ARE
We are a very active self-managed site with a committee of volunteers and a relatively short waiting list.
If you would like to help, we welcome all enthusiastic plot holders to join the committee. If you have a little spare time and can attend our monthly meetings, please let us know.
We have work parties and social events throughout the year. Keep an eye on our facebook page and notice boards for upcoming events.

Dear Plot Holders
May I wish those members who I have not seen so far this year a belated Happy New Year and a successful and enjoyable growing season ahead.
You will shortly be receiving your 2024 membership and plot lease renewals via WebCollect. The renewal date being 1 February 2024.
I am writing to advise everyone that the Committee has found it necessary to increase some of the fees that we pay. We are all impacted by changes in the economic cycle and inflation. The costs associated with the running of the allotment site face the same increases and difficulties.
Elmbridge Borough Council has, for the first time in more than 20 years, dramatically increased (quadrupled) the site rentals for allotments across the Borough.
In addition, we have increased business water rate charges, site insurance, plumbing and maintenance costs. With the benefit of having use of the toilet we again have the costs of toilet supplies and the regular emptying of the cess pit.
BRGL Committee continue to do its best to keep charges to members to a minimum and for a number of years there have been no increases. However, from 1 February the following charges will apply

Plot Rental Fee will increase from £25 to £35 for a half plot per annum.

Membership Subscription Fees will increase from £15 to £25 per member per annum.
We have a wonderful, shared community and I look forward to seeing you all on site over the coming months. If anyone has any concerns about these increased costs do, please email us and I will arrange to call you personally to give assistance or answer any queries.
